Quilters in Service to Others

ELIQG Quilters in Service to Others (QSTO) Projects for 2012:

On April 15, 2012, 15 ELIQG members worked like Trojans with their sewing machines, rotary cutters and sergers and created 80 pillowcases for Sloan Kettering Children’s Cancer Center, Winthrop Hospital, Schneider Childrens’ Hospital and Stony Brook University Hospital. Thank you ladies!

 ANNUAL RAFFLE:

Our quilt for raffle is an important introduction to our community. It shows not only our talents, but our enthusiasm in sharing an important and enjoyable art form with the community.

Eastern Long Island Quilters’ Guild, Inc. has an endowed scholarship fund at Suffolk Community College which allows the college to award a one year scholarship to a student in the area of design each year. Much of the funds for this come from raffle ticket sales at our annual quilt show.
