Thank you to the below people for the many book, magazine, pattern and stencil donations throughout 2011. The books we could use in the library have all been recorded and included. We now have 2144 items in the library. The other books and magazines have been included for the book and magazine sales. If we have inadvertently forgotten anyone on our list, please let us know and we will include you in the next HYH page. We have an extensive library for our members to use and enjoy. In addition to over 2000 books, library materials include videos, DVD’s CD’s, packaged patterns, recent magazines, quilting templates,and quilting tools. We also sell used magazines at our meetings and quitl show, as well as used duplicate books.

An assortment of these items is brought to all Guild monthly meetings. If you would like a certain book or video brought to the meeting, call or e-mail me ahead of time please.

To borrow any of the library materials, members in good standing sign the card for each book. This enables the member to borrow the materials for one month.  If more than one month lapses, a reminder postcard is sent and the borrower is fined $1.00 per item for each month which lapses.

Renewal Policy: Books may be renewed for one month provided they are brought to the meeting and shown to the librarian. If the book has not been requested for hold on the Book Reserve Sheet, renewal will be granted.

Reserve Sheet: If the book, video, etc. you would like to take out is unavailable, fill out the Reserve Sheet so that you will reserve it for the next meeting.

Don’t forget to come over to the table and inquire whether it has been returned and is ready for you to take out.

Limit: Four books & three videos per month, per member, including any overdue materials.

Although a wide variety of materials are brought to every meeting, we can’t possibly bring everything. If you know of a certain item you would like to borrow, please call to ensure that it it bought to the meeting.

Ordering New Books Don’t forget: we order quilting books through the AQS society for a 30% savings. When our order totals at least 6 books we send it in. Ask to see the AQS book order list.

Used Magazine Sales The used magazine table will be set up at guild meetings. If you have any old QUILTING magazines that you’d like to donate, please bring them to the meeting. Please, no home décor, women’s magazines, or catalogs. Bring Quilting (or at least sewing & crafting) magazines only.  Magazines are sold at the meetings.
