Wednesday, August 24th - Sunday, August 28th, 2022 at The Y at Watson Woods (formerly known as Watson Homestead Conference Center) 9620 Dry Run Road, Painted Post, NY 14870 Quilting Connections 2022 our annual Member Meeting, a Lecture/Trunk Show and Master Class with Gyleen X Fitzgerald, the three or four-day NYS Quilters Retreat and Sewciety Night with The Quilt Lady!
TRAVEL CLUB PASSPORT are in production. The QCNYS Board is making arrangements to get passports out as soon as they are received from the printer. Travel Club Passports will be available at the first quilt shows of the year and at other locations for your guild members. FIRST QUILT SHOW INFO !! The Irondequoit Quilt Show proudly presents our quilt show “Festival of Quilts”! The show will be held March 26 (10 AM – 4 PM) and March 27 (1PM – 5PM) at St. Cecilia’s Church, 2732 Culver Rd (immediately north of route 104). We will be presenting over 250 of our quilts as well as having vendors, a boutique and raffle baskets. Tickets are $5 at the door or $4 for QCNYS passport holders.
Create a quilt using your favorite construction method within three categories of a childhood game. Rock includes traditional blocks/piecing, whole cloth quilts and yo-yo methods Paper includes any type of foundation piecing method Scissors includes any appliqué method. The number of entries in each category may answer the age-old question of Rock/Paper/Scissors superiority.
